Ankush Sachdeva, the 31-year-old co-founder of ShareChat, has been named the youngest entrepreneur on the 2024 Hurun India Under-35 list. ShareChat, a popular social media platform, has seen rapid growth, solidifying its position as one of India’s most widely used apps. The list also features Isha Ambani, non-executive director at Reliance Retail, and Akash Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, at the 31st and 32nd positions, respectively.
Isha Ambani, aged 32, is among India’s most influential business figures, while Akash Ambani has played a key role in the success of Reliance Jio. Alakh Pandey, the founder of Physics Wallah, an ed-tech platform that provides accessible and affordable learning resources to millions of students, has also been recognized for his entrepreneurial success. The Under-35 list celebrates 150 entrepreneurs aged 35 or younger from across India, acknowledging their achievements in various fields, from retail to tech startups.
The report highlights that 82% of the entrepreneurs listed are first-generation business leaders, with 123 out of 150 having built their companies from the ground up.

Bengaluru and Mumbai are the cities with the most entrepreneurs on the list, with 29 and 26 young business leaders, respectively.
These cities continue to be hubs of innovation and startups in India, with companies spanning a wide range of industries. The financial services sector has the most representatives, with 21 entrepreneurs, followed by the software and services sector, which has 14 entrepreneurs. This reflects the growing demand for digital solutions and the rise of fintech in India.
Parita Parekh from Toddle and Isha Ambani have been recognized as the youngest women on the list, both aged 32. The list also features seven other women entrepreneurs, including Aneri Patel, Aneesha Tiwari, and Anjali Merchant, all aged between 33 and 34, who are continuing their family businesses. Saloni Anand, aged 34, was highlighted for her contributions to the hair care sector through her company, Traya Health, while Ghazal Alagh, aged 35, CEO of Mama Earth, was recognized for her leadership in building a startup that has now gone public.
The 2024 Hurun India Under-35 list serves as a testament to the growing dynamic and youthful entrepreneurial landscape in the country, setting a high benchmark for aspiring business leaders and showcasing the potential of India’s young minds to shape the future of various industries both domestically and globally.
