What do you get if you cross YouTube with iTunes? (Big drum roll) You get (even bigger drum roll)… a site called yTunes.
Ahem.
yTunes is a deliberate attempt to cross the content found on YouTube with the interface favored by iTunes. On the site, you get access to all the music hosted on the popular video hosting service, and access it through a front-end which takes after the one of the digital music store created by Apple.
Since everything is sourced from YouTube, there is nothing that you should download. You can head straight to the site when you feel like rocking the whole block, and search for the songs that you want to listen. These will be added to your playlist, and you will get to listen to them in an iTunes-derived player.
And in the event you are in the mood to discover new artists, simply check the space in which the most popular artists are highlighted. That should do the trick, and satisfy your wandering musical spirit until it feels like setting off again.
