Just a couple of days ago I was expressing how pleased I was because a couple of novel URL shorteners have emerged recently, and all of a sudden a new one which is not that distinctive appears. It goes by the name of X.
vu, and in addition to letting you create a short link it empowers you to add a tag to go with it, as it is customary nowadays – otherwise, the link would be too unconnected and unrelated to be any good.
Links can be shortened both from the main page in the usual way (“I-copy-paste-the-link-and-I-hit-shorten-it”), or via a provided bookmarklet that can be procured on the site.
I do not want to sound pessimistic, but releasing an application like this today is not that sound a move. The ones responsible for it either are not interested in revenue and decided to create a free tool (which is noble), or forgot to do their homework beforehand.

Why X.vu It Might Be A Killer
It is free and quick, yet it lacks distinctive features.
