Why www.thecheckoutline.org -the first-ever advice site for the dying and those who care about them It Might Be A Killer
TheCheckoutline.org is the first EVER advice column for those who are terminally ill, and for the people who care about them. No one knows how to deal with dying — not doctors, who are embarrassed at what they see as a failure, not family or friends who may be awkward or unsure how to help As a hospice volunteer, she’s seen almost everything. And as a longtime journalist (whose first major job was at the Washington Post), she knows which experts — medical, legal, psychological — to contact for those issues where more help is needed. In fact she already has on board a panel of experts who are helping me. And she happens to have a lot of common sense! Let’s face it: We’re all standing somewhere onThe Checkout Line (only ino one’s pushing to get to the front!) It’s the one site we all have in common
