Wording TV is a resource that aims to do something about the declining quality of the news served by conventional channels, and the way in which information is becoming scattered across disparate internet news sources. The former issue implies that you can’t trust who you previously trusted to remain informed, and the second causes content which is worthwhile in itself to become so spread that nobody can really find it.
In order to tackle these taxing situations, the folks responsible for this project have come up with a site where news are meant to be delivered by local communities right into themselves. Users submit news, and these are then ranked using a proprietary algorithm that ensure the best content is displayed and that spam is hidden and/or wiped as soon as possible.
Moreover, the site lets users add blog posts and have them ranked. In this way, people are given a chance to let their voices and personal opinions be heard by just everybody, effectively providing a sturdier backbone to any story that is published. You get to learn about what has happened, and in which ways that has affected people directly.
