WetMount is a visual search and sort for the web. It uses the concept of a number line to visualize and order information.
Concepts are arranged alphabetically fro A to Z or numerically from 1 on; URLs are matched according to the valued order. The goal of the site is to minimize the actual physical screen real estate needed to navigate around search results, thus allowing users to understand the entire data set visually, without the need to scroll down and freeing the data reduction pathways. Currently, WetMount is merely a beta demo; it does support various media files such as audio and images. It pulls out metadata. No peer sharing is allowed, however sign up is absolutely free.

WetMount proposes an interesting solution for visual searching. It appears to be relying on a more intuitive, easily navigated concept. From the looks of it, it could be an innovative alternative for standard searching.

WetMount’s name isn’t the most promising for a visual search engine, given its associations. Will there be an actual demo video to show how WetMount works? So far, is rather difficult to see just how it functions.
