The creator has spent many hours perfecting and improving his product, and the product tour gave a great explanation of how to use the site. He also put up samples of personal sites made public (probably by him), to show you the functionality of the site. Oh, in order to make your own web program, you must download his software. But in exchange for creating your own personalized web page, that is a pretty easy tradeoff.
