Virtual City is a site that allows you to explore cities online which have been accurately mapped and photographed from the street level. The program is currently limited to the city of Toronto and one is able to explore the city online and view it as they would if they were driving in their car.
The Virtual City team plots each building along with its GPS coordinates and takes high definition photos of every single building on every major street. What this means is that you can pick a place on the map and then scroll along the street, seeing every single storefront and cross roads. The site also incorporates satellite maps which you can click on to see exactly where you are touring in relation to the rest of the city and hybrid maps which include street information embedded on top of the satellite imagery.

Some Questions About Virtualcity.ca
Perhaps the only thing that appears to be missing are the street addresses of each snapshot. Could they integrate addresses directly into the snapshots and provide the ability to plug in and address and go straight to that area of the city?
