This site lets users upgrade their free Classifieds or Auctions to Featured Listings which rotates their ads to the home page of the site. Also they can choose to purchase Better Ad Placement in a category, Bolded (or highlighted) listings, Attention Getters and more.
The site displays ads on the home page unlike most “local” classified sites which front pages require you to navigate through a series of states, city, and community settings. This site displays all ads nationwide on the home page including the “hottest ads” (most page views) and newest ads (most recently listed). This gives sellers more exposure. The site has a zip code filter at the top of the home page which allows for localization of the site. Once you enter a zip code and a radius of 5 to 500 miles it will display only ads in that area. This eliminate the need for overposting by sellers and also means they don’t ask users to police the site and flag other users, but they may report any abuse.
