Valioo is a Spanish startup that lets consumers review companies and products. The way the site works, you can sign up for a free account and then start reviewing as many different products and companies as you have ever tried in your life. Just like you can do on other consumer reviews sites like Yelp. Yet, Valioo introduces a new element. For each review that you write, a NGO will receive a small donation. This donation is actually a micro-payment that you get for having taken the time to write your reviews. And the donation is made automatically, you can’t keep the money for yourself. That’s not the point of the site. You have to choose a NGO that’s going to receive it. Valioo doesn’t work in any other way.
Reviews are written really fast, as you can use a series of predefined phrases (or “tags”) that highlight how you feel about any service or product. You don’t have a lot of typing to do, it’s all a matter of picking these sentences that describe what you think about anything. Still, you can type down your very own if the ones that are provided fail to convey your true feelings.
The site’s available both in English and in Spanish, apps for iPhone and for Android have either become available as of the time of writing this or they’re becoming available shortly, and a “Pro” plan is also going to be announced.
