Started by a guy who works at Amazon, Uncluttr aims to make shopping at Amazon easier (he does this site on the side on his own time, but says the product is supported by Amazon Web Services). The impetus for the site was the frustration of hearing all the complaints about how cumbersome it was to wade through Amazon.
The site is simple: you put in your search request (either alone or in a specific category), choose what you like, and drag and drop the item into checkout. You can also browse through reviews and link to other items. The site is still in its infancy and has its kinks (there was no page to contact the operators and if you don’t know what to search for on Amazon, you won’t get much help here), but I found it to be easy and useful. I will use this site the next time I want to make an Amazon purchase. The real question is: why isn’t Amazon integrating this new format officially?

Why Uncluttr.com It Might Be A Killer
Amazon is cluttered and has too many items vying for your attention, making the buying process slow and frustrating. The beauty of this site is its simplicity, and it is a welcome tool to the Amazon shopping process. I would imagine that Amazon will officially buy out this site and integrate it into their homepage (or at least that is what they should do).
Oh, and I liked the added bonus of having some proceeds go to the environment.
Some Questions About Uncluttr.com
How will people learn about this site? Right now there is little traffic, so it is a great service without customers. How does this site hope to make a profit, or are they just waiting for the big boys of Amazon to scoop them up? Also, why is there no contact page or email link for feedback?
