Today’s Killer Startup: Tunlr

Elevator Pitch:
Tunlr gives you access to any website or content online, no matter where in the world you’re located.
Why It’s A Killer Startup:
I love The Mindy Project and was super pumped when Hulu picked it up earlier this year. However, I was not super pumped to find that I couldn’t actually legally watch The Mindy Project when the new season started, because I was living in Bali, where Hulu isn’t available. Hello again, my old torrenting friend!
Hulu, of course, isn’t the only favorite site of mine that I haven’t been able to access in my travels as a full-time digital nomad. Twitter, Flickr, Pandora, Netflix… The list goes on and on, unfortunately. For an internet and media junkie like me (not to mention, a person who relies on most of those sites for various parts of my work), it can be really frustrating to arrive somewhere new and find out that a much-loved or much-needed site isn’t accessible.
But now that I know about Tunlr, that’s an issue of the past!
Tunlr is a brand new site that gives users access to a network of internet addresses that can be used as a proxy address when you want to get on a site that’s not available in your area. It works on all of your devices and on up to as many devices as you want, so you can watch shows on your computer, tablet, and phone if you want. And unlike traditional VPNs, Tunlr doesn’t slow down your connection (a problem I’ve definitely run into), because you’re not pinging off a remote server. Streaming happens directly between your device and the site of the content you’re enjoying.
Tunlr also offers total security, so your information can’t be stolen by hackers or picked up by snoopy governments while you’re using their service.
So whether you’re a digital nomad like me or you just live outside the States and still want access to your favorite websites, head over to Tunlr and get streaming today.
