The Tom Simon home page can be found online at Tsimon.com.
Said page acts as a portal for Mr. Simon’s main interest in life, namely 50’s and 60’s rock and roll music. A full list of 50’s and 60’s musicians is found by following the pertinent link, and it is presented in an alphabetical manner. It includes a wide-ranging selection of artists, from the founding fathers of the movement and luminaries such as Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis to some of the best-loved members of the 60’s music scene. Moreover, there is information on some classic tunes from the period such as Bobby Pickett’s Halloween classic “Monster Mash” and the Kingston Trio’s “Louie, Louie”, the inspiration for the Kinks’ first single, “You Really Got Me” (regarded by many as one of the first “hard rock” recordings in history), which in turn influenced Pete Townshend when he penned “I Can’t Explain”. The site also includes an editorial that covers current issues, and links to other sites of interest.
