The TRIP Database began in 1997 as a result of the work of the founders in answering clinical questions, using the principles of evidence based medicine. As well as being quick, the clinical questions needed to be answered using the best available evidence, so in order to save time they though it would be easier and fast if all the contents were searchable at one website.
TRIP Database became incorporated in 2001 and this has allowed the director to expand and develop the site as well as providing a spring-board for new knowledge services. It has evolved into a sophisticated tool for locating the highest possible evidence with which to inform clinical decisions, using the principles of evidence based medicine. At this website you can find more information about the methods used, from Content Identification to Results Display. You can search for evidence based medicine, for medical images, and patient information leaflets.
