Do you want to leave the car at home for a change? Why not take the train to work instead – get there safely, on time and cheaply, all at the same time. The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority provides a train service which runs from Miami to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach.

Due to legislation, passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives, Tri-rail has been turned into the South Florida Transportation Authority and has created greater mobility in South Florida, thus improving the quality of life for the community at large. Tri-rail offers a discount program for the employees of businesses in South Florida, the 60/25 Challenges service. Their aim is to coordinate, develop and implement a regional transportation system which will truly serve the people. This website provides train schedules, shuttle schedules, transfer and fare information, connection information, a fare calculator and information on their discount policy and programs, plus a map of all the stations. There are special policies for holiday and bicycle services, as well as for the physically disabled. All trains are equipped with wheel-chair lifts.
