When I was younger, I loved buying rare albums and CDs on eBay. I enjoyed it a lot, but if there were something I hated then that would have been the fear that lingered when buying items from people located in foreign countries. That couldn’t be helped. I recall buying items from Australia and South America, only to be sweating all the time afterwards. It all turned out right in the end, but I wish there had been a way to know where what I had bought was along the way. And I also felt uneasy when buying items from faraway States in the US. Again – there was never any problem. But you couldn’t help feeling anxious.
Well, that’s set to become a thing of the past. Tracky is a service you can use in order to know when any package you’re expecting is about to arrive. This service can track packages all over the US, and then send you an email or a text message the day they’re meant to arrive. And you can also check the status and location of your packages by using any of the mobile apps that are available. There’s one for iPhone and one for Android, and (like the website) they can be used for free.
Tracky is currently in beta, and it’s a US-only service. Only four carriers are supported right now (UPS, FedEx, USPS and OnTrac), but that’s all set to change if the site manages to become more consolidated.
