you create your community geographically. TownQueens, seemingly, takes out some of the dating part of TownKings and specializes its functions for women. I say seemingly because TownKings and TownQueens are on the same site, and there is not an ability to tell them apart. You can create a profile, add friends, have parties, recommend restaurants, find a partner for seeing a movie, etc. The site is raffling off a brand new Nintendo Wii among all new members who register at TownKings.com. Overall, it seems a typical social networking site – but tailored to local areas.

I have learned that I should never underestimate the potential value of any new social networking site. This site seems typical and unoriginal, despite its focus on local areas, but maybe it is hitting a new niche. I believe that focusing on social networking for women in a certain community could work as a niche, but I could not discern their ideas from the current site.
