Tippr is a new initiative that aims to make discovering and sharing good deals in any city within the US something easier for everybody. The premise is that of reflecting each local market accurately on the WWW, and recommending only the best local merchants to local customers.
That is the basic idea, and in order to make it come true the team behind Tippr is striving to recommend only these merchants that their scout team has shopped at firsthand. In that way, they are aware not only of how much is really saved when you purchase anything, but they are also aware of how good the merchant is when it comes to dealing with his customers and so on.
I think we all agree that the idea is an ambitious one, but the execution is good. Basically, the site features three deals a day and by merely clicking on one that you like then the deal is yours. You are emailed a voucher that you can print once the deal has closed. And the site itself leverages the power of group buying since the more people that go for a deal the better the actual value gets for everybody.
Obviously, the fact of locating these deals manually means that a system like this one will take some time expanding itself over the country. Note, though, that if you would like to see it in your city you can place a request – the link is on the main page.
