Although it can become all too easy to lose sight of your startup’s vision because you’re busy taking care of the daily grind, I’m here to help with suggestions culled from conversations and interviews with founders from around the planet.
The feeling that you are constantly chasing your goals or that you are simply running behind is more common than you think, but it doesn’t have to stay that way as long as you take control and make the decision to change how things get done.
Let’s take a look at 6 key ways in which you can save time and approach more efficiently what you get done on a daily basis. The six I’ve summarized here should definitely get ya going on the right time saving track!

1. Make A Plan
Setting time aside to make plans itself may feel too time consuming, but over and over this the most common piece of advice founders have offered in our conversations. Taking 10 to 15 minutes every morning to prioritize will actually save you more time than you can imagine.
If possible, start with the most time consuming or the most difficult because once you’ve tackled those, then the rest comes much easier and much quicker.
2. Two Birds With One Stone
Think about what responsibilities you can accomplish more or less at the same time. For example, going to the bank and then staying out to hit the office supply store is a good way to do two things at once. There are probably a number of other responsibilities you can take care of at once.
3. Delivery Solutions
Whether it’s an office supply store, USPS, or Fed Ex, many companies offer delivery or pickup services right to your door. Next time you think you have to head out to one of those businesses, give their site a look and see if you can save time by having them come to you.

4. Cheap Help
Sometimes, it’s easy to get friends or family involved with putting media packets together or with shipping items out. All you usually have to do is offer free pizza and beer. From what I’ve been told, this works more often than you think!
5. Get A Notepad
If you like to jot notes down on small pieces of paper, you know as well as I do that the number of pieces of paper can get over the top. Instead, go out and buy a small notepad where you can write down all of your brilliant ideas and the things you need to get done. Not only is it helpful to have everything in one place, but the notepad will also serve you well as a record of business and as a possible source of tax deductions.

6. Take Those Breaks
Give yourself a rest. Even as you’re doing something you absolutely love, your mind and body need the break! Take a short walk around the block, grab a cup of coffee, or take a few minutes to disconnect before coming back energized and ready to tackle more items!
The sooner you get started with at least some of these time saving tips, the more time you’ll have to keep kicking butt with your startup and serve your loyal customers in the way that they deserve!
