The TiE Global Summit (TGS) kicked off this week in Bengaluru. It is hosted at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. The summit is organized by the entrepreneurship development organization TiE Bangalore.
It aims to celebrate and catalyze the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley. It is one of the world’s largest networks for entrepreneurship ecosystem development.
TiE has chapters in 61 cities across the globe. Through its summit, TiE brings together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and students. The summit promotes a culture where ideas prosper and innovation thrives.

The event features multiple parallel seminar sessions, investor-founder connects, mentorship roundtables, country pavilions, and a conference track curated by INK. The ninth edition of TGS also marks the 25th anniversary of TiE Bangalore.
Tie Bangalore celebrates 25th anniversary
This year’s lineup includes tennis legend Andre Agassi, Vidya Balan, Deepak Chopra, Ram Charan, and Kris Gopalakrishnan. TGS 2024 is supported by the Government of Karnataka and the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission. Other TiE chapters in Karnataka have collaborated for this summit.
Tennis legend Andre Agassi shared some insights during the event. He stated, “If you lose and don’t learn, it is a loss. But if you lose and learn, then it is a gain.”
One of the notable features of this year’s summit is the TGS 100 early-stage startup challenge.
The challenge culminates with the final 10 winners pitching their ideas in the main hall. The summit also introduces GreenFlame, a global initiative symbolizing the intersection of entrepreneurship and sustainability. Inspired by the Olympic torch, this virtual flame travels across TiE Global chapters.
It promotes a commitment to environmental stewardship. The TGS Torchbearer program celebrates students and women entrepreneurs from rural India. The TiE Antar Prerana Leadership Summit held on December 9 at IISc was also significant.
It promoted modern entrepreneurship best practices along with India’s ancient wisdom. With a lineup of impressive speakers, innovative startups, and collaborative efforts, the TiE Global Summit 2024 brings together the essence of aspirations and ambitions. It sets the stage for transformative ideas and sustainable entrepreneurial growth.
