There is nothing more infuriating than spam messages. It comes as no surprise that there are people who have taken direct action against such a practice.
The online resource that goes by the name of “The Internet Patrol” is one such site, and it is devoted to providing web browsers and computer users with the latest news and analysis regarding computer security and privacy, as well as offering coverage on public policies and processes that appertain to e-mail deliverability and the World Wide Web in general. The patrol itself is maintained by the Institute for Spam and Internet Pubic Policy, and the site is written and kept by the president of said Institute, Ms. Anne Mitchel. Other services rendered by the Institute include e-mail management roundtables and Internet law conferences. Those who sign up can receive free e-mail alerts about new stories and articles that are posted at the Internet Patrol website.
