The Hotlist is a new social resource which is exclusively aimed at College students and recent alumni. The concept that lies at its heart is very simple: it acts as a networking tool whereby anybody can see what is going both on and off campus, and connect with his/her students friends easily in order to arrange activities.
The basis of the whole project is that of social maps which include every single event of note for all to know what is going on where they are located. From concerts and gigs to poetry marathons, it is all included within said maps. And venues such as restaurants are likewise included, ensuring you could theoretically organize your whole campus life around such a resource and free up some valuable time in the process.
A nice feature is that whenever you come across any event you can see how many people are attending on the whole. In practice, this means that you will be able to see where it’s at in a very clear manner, and avoid ending up somewhere with people that is about as entertaining to hang out as the main character off “The Visitor”.
Needless to say, this service is free and open to everybody. You can give it a try at the provided address and see it in action for yourself.
