Thebooksdialogue.com – Read About Books

Thebooksdialogue.com

This blog was created by a book lover to find kindred souls and share that passion. His name’s Ron, and he has recently launched Thebooksdialogue.com. Other industries have been competing with publishing to provide the crowds with entertainment, such as movies, TV, video games and internet in recent times.

However, books managed to withstand the test of time. Some transformations have taken place, which is natural because all things evolve one way or another. The Amazon Kindle, the Nook, and other e-readers have helped in thrusting the publishing industry to the device driven XXI century. But the truth is that people still turn to books to have a good time, rest from their daily routines, or to learn anything they want. If we think about it, printed paper is a technological product also, although an earlier one. But before it, the human voice was the only existing platform for telling stories.

Stories, in the end, are enjoyed all over the world. It seems that Ron is aware of this and wants to meet other people who have this common interest. That’s why he launched a website like Thebooksdialogue.com. He also wants people to talk about books, discover wonderful stories and enjoy a good time.

The site has a thoughtful way of organising its contents, although not much can be found there yet (Ron, can we hope to see some more articles soon?). The webmaster will choose an issue, any theme that comes to his mind, post it, and comment on books which have talked about that topic. Then, users will be able to add comments and discussions about that book, others which talk about the same issue, or create new topics to talk about.

It is a good thing that Ron has thought of giving some kind of thread to the contents in his site. I think, though, that he could have chosen a less clich? topic than “Love”. It is something about which everyone, everywhere, is talking all the time. Movies, music, TV series (even a TV production about war will have a love story thrown in). Even if he chose a novel considered a literary masterpiece, I think something else may have grabbed more attention. Please don’t think that I’m against human feelings, I even consider myself quite a sensitive guy. But today’s world offers a lot of more modern issues, and the BooksDialogue could have come back to talking about love any time.

Anyway, the idea is a good one, and putting books in people’s minds will make all of us remember that from them, great stories have come out and delighted legions of readers.
