Tammy Yee was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is the author of several children’s books, and she also has worked as illustrator for books of authors like Anthony Fredericks and Uilani Goldsberry.
Her website features many of her best-loved illustrations, such as the cover of the “A Is For Aloha” book which represented Hawaii at the 2006 Book Festival. Likewise, the site is packed with features and activities for the younger ones, which are collected on the keiki page. These include printable puzzles, fun facts and coloring games. Homework help is also featured, and there are links of interest to children. One of the most enjoyable features is the “Origami Projects” section. Origami is an ancient Japanese art which uses paper sheets which are folded to create objects.
