“Hotels for Global Nomads” is the motto of the Tablet Hotels website. Basically, it is a site that lets its members find luxury hotels worldwide, and make reservations thereat.
In order to become a member, a form must be filled in online, containing personal particulars along with account information. Registration itself is inexpensive, and membership benefits include privileges in a whole host of participating hotels. A newsletter is also available to members, and it highlights special offers, along with newly selected hotels. The website allows members to plan trips based either on the destination, or taking into consideration the name of the hotel. Conversely, there is a “I Just Want To Get Away” section which enables the member to plan a trip on the spot, just by specifying certain criteria such as the destination, landscape and the agenda. The agenda is made up of categories such as “Romance”, “Shopping”, and “Adventure”. Likewise, the hotel type can be selected from a list that takes into consideration both style and atmosphere. Lastly, there is also a list of local getaways to choose from.
