SwarmBuy is an online marketplace where you can form “swarms” of buyers who are looking for the same product. If the product swarm doesn’t exist, they can start their own.
Talk about taking supply and demand to a more visible level. From there, the buyers can choose the sellers who are offering the best services and products at the most competitive prices. This creates an environment where groups of people can join and bargain collectively, and an opportunity for sellers to complete orders in bulk.
SwarmBuy.com In Their Own Words
SwarmBuy provides a marketplace where individual consumer voices can be combined into a collective bargaining force. When a buyer is looking for a product they can join an existing Swarm or, if one doesn’t exist, they can start a new Swarm point for the product. Buyers then choose amongst any available seller offers for the deal they like the most.
On the flip side…
Sellers can search for items they are willing to fulfill and can make offers to the members of the associated Swarms. Sellers may offer to fulfill as many, or as few items as they want, leaving the unfulfilled remainder available to other sellers. Sellers compete against one another to attract buyers by offering competitive prices and deals. Sellers benefit from this approach by having the opportunity to fulfill large orders that might not be possible for them within a traditional environment. Sellers are welcome to create their own swarms.
Why SwarmBuy.com It Might Be A Killer
This is a really fresh take on the buyers and sellers platform, one that I have to say is very appealing. They’re getting down to the core of business strategy, giving equal benefit for users on both ends of the ecommerce platform. Supply and demand is what drives commerce, and now both are so much more apparent thanks to the advent of “swarms.”
Some Questions About SwarmBuy.com
Right now their interface is looking very much in beta. Are they planning on making some changes, creating a cleaner format and more of a new web feel?
