Spore, from Electronic Arts, is a new web 2.0 gaming software which lets players create wide eyed, squishy looking creatures of all shapes and sizes.
The ‘creature creator’ as it’s called is available as a 300mb download. The object of Spore, besides getting to create fantastic creatures, is to explore and colonize the universe with your creations. However, that part is due out with the release of the actual Spore game later this year. Right now, users can whet their whistles with the web enabled creature creator. The site is currently filled with galleries and in game screenshots. Users can drag in photos from the galleries to use in creating their own creatures. The site also features widgets which can be thrown up on blogs and social networks depicting user’s Spore creatures
