One of the many tools built in 48 hours during Rails Rumble 2010, Splendid Bacon is a project management application. You might think that something which was built so quickly is absolutely devoid of features, but I like to see this application as something that is free from unnecessary bells and whistles. Splendid Bacon focuses only on what a project manager needs to get his job done satisfactorily, namely seeing what is happening in his organization at a glance.
The provided dashboard will enable him to see who is working on which project, review each project?s timeline and see the current status for each task that needs to be dealt with. New tasks can be assigned to the corresponding person straightaway, and whole new projects can be started by clicking on the relevant tab.
And that is what this application can do, basically. According to your actual needs you are going to find it satisfactory or not. But there is no way you could say that Splendid Bacon is hard to use or understand, because it is not.
