Spidi Fox is a new instant search engine that lets you look up videos, images and assorted media in several sites at once. As it stands right now, the site makes for searching YouTube, Digg and Flickr at the same time.
I assume you have already seen how an instant search engine works, so that there is no need for me to explain that results pop up as you are typing away. But what I have to mention as far as this site is concerned is that once a YouTube video has started playing you will still be able to look up images on Flickr without having to halt the video itself. That is the most salient feature of the whole site, if you ask me.
And as a fan of Ice Age, I just have to say that its mascot (IE, Spidi the Fox) looks eerily similar to Scratt, the nut-crazy squirrel that became the true breakout character of the whole franchise. Blame it on a simple twist of fate? Hmmm…
