Spectives is a site that (in its own words) enables you to “search for visual news”. What does that mean? Essentially, it means that on the site you are able to see collections that have been put together by other site users, and these collections are actually conformed by feeds from all over the web.
That is, people takes the news feeds from sites such as ours and others that are related thematically (or that have nothing to do among themselves if he wants to come up with something truly variegated) and have a visual display of the latest items.
It goes without saying that you can make up a collection of your own almost instantly, and it is even possible to add a feed from somebody else’s collection to your own. As a matter of fact, you can even copy an entire collection and have its every feed featured within yours. Once you are done adding tags, then you will be able to choose a few tags to go with it so that others will find it by way of the provided search box.
Of course, a service such as this is mainly a curiosity, but I do admit I had a good time when I tried it out. And that certainly is commendable.
