Are you tired of endlessly browsing the internet in order to find the best deals on the products you want to purchase? Spectackler.com is an interactive electronics specification engine that tries to make choosing which gadget to buy less cumbersome.
It lets the user filter and sort products through a funky AJAX interface. Spectackler is different from the traditional product search interface in several ways.
This search interface lets you filter by many different attributes specific to the category you are looking at, for example, the digital SLR category has over 15 filters like minimum focal length or optical zoom. As you move the filters, the products you can buy appear and disappear in real time. No more waiting endlessly for the page to refresh. If you can’t decide then and there, you can save your search and either come back later or send it to a friend.
Currenty Spectackler uses the Amazon ECS API to get product information, but the unique interface could be adapted to any eCommerce data source.
