Maju Kuruvilla, the former CEO of Bolt, has launched a new e-commerce startup called Spangle AI. The company aims to solve a common issue for online shoppers by creating custom landing pages based on their search or ad clicks. Kuruvilla explained that many users often land on pages that may not have the advertised products, leading to high bounce rates.

Spangle AI addresses this problem with its AI model called ProductGPT, which generates personalized landing pages by decoding customer interactions. The Seattle-based startup raised a $6 million seed round last year from investors like Madrona Ventures and Streamlined Ventures. This funding will help Spangle AI enhance e-commerce through artificial intelligence.

Landing page optimization with AI

Spangle AI is not alone in this space. Other e-commerce startups, such as Vancouver-based Unbounce and a Dubai-based company, are also working on improving the online shopping experience.

However, Spangle AI has already shown promising results, with a 51% increase in conversion rates during early testing. Kuruvilla brings extensive experience to Spangle AI from his previous roles, including nearly eight years at Amazon and his time as CEO of Bolt. He shared his enthusiasm for e-commerce and solving complex problems, indicating a bright future for Spangle AI as it focuses on sales and further development.

As the company gears up for growth, Kuruvilla and his team are excited about the potential of their AI-driven approach to revolutionize the online shopping experience.
