SoSauce wants you to know that they are not a social network. No, short for Social Sauce and hailng from NYC, SoSauce has a higher mission in mind.
At first glance, it make look like a mellow MySpace or a slightly interactive travel sharing site. It’s still not completed, so it may even look it, but what SoSauce isn’t shouldn’t be looked down upon. So what is it? The site bills itself as a ‘content network’ created by a community of artists and engineers who want to share quality content, experiences and provide a place to have fun and play a little. So far SoSauce can count among its features a photo sharing space, a journal to write your thoughts (the antidote to the blog), and a travel tool that’ll help you share each and every aspect of your travels and adventures. Creating an account is free and once the site has more content, it should be a nice alternative to the social network.
SoSauce.com In Their Own Words
“…Right now, we are developing Sosauce, an online community that provides people the higest quality tools to create, manage, and share their contents. Sosauce is not a social network. It is an experience network. It’s a place for people who enjoy documenting their experiences and observations and are passionate about their interests.”
Why SoSauce.com It Might Be A Killer
SoSauce is a nice idea. To have a place for content creation with a focus on content rather than individual glut and superficiality is a welcome change from the throng of Me-centered social networks. It has everything you’d expect for content and a few other goodies too.
