The main tenet of the society is to apply the methods of science in pursuit of knowledge and understanding. A number of endeavors to promote the activities of the society are carried out. First and foremost there is a magazine which goes by the apt name of “The Skeptic Magazine”. Said publication can be purchased online, and the contents of each specific issue are succinctly described online. Back issues can also be procured in this part of the website. On the other hand, lectures and events of topics such as science and its relationship with reason and religion are announced on the corresponding page, where a calendar acts as an events highlighter. Information on how to attend is provided, and an “Archives” section lets the visitor browse through past lectures. In addition to that, the website includes a forum for the debate and discussion among members of the society. Lastly, links to an online shop are provided, and items such as books and DVDs can be purchased in said section.
