These days, the sibling rivalry has expanded to include the tech industry, with LA drawing crowds to its beaches and food trucks, while SF tries to hold onto its image as the hip, alternative capital of, well, everything.

 

While San Francisco has obviously been the traditional tech spot, rising costs in everything from housing to the price of a cocktail have started driving startups down to sunny Los Angeles.
