With the “Like” button being so popular and commanding, one can but wonder just why on Earth there’s no centralized way to keep track of all the items that you’ve ever liked. Granted, one can see all these products and companies on his profile page, but they are a jumble. They become all mixed up with other things like phrases and quotes, and all you get to know is that you’ve ever liked something. You have no true idea of when did you like it, for example.
Well, that is about to change thanks to this new website ShowYouLike.It gives everybody a dashboard for seeing all he has liked over time, in a logical and ordered way. It’s all arranged by category, with some of the most distinctive ones being “Music”, “Movies”, “Books” and “Games”.
And users of the site are also given the chance to see the most liked items on each and every category, effectively figuring out which new products are worth a look.
I find it all quite attractive, but I just have to wonder what will become of this site when the changes that Facebook has already announced are implemented. As you know, the “Like” button is going to become a more multifaceted entity, with it taking the shape of other verbs (such as “Reading a book” or “Watching a movie” instead of merely “Liking” it). That would mean this site will have to be completely remodeled just to stay true to the way the button really works. And such a change is going to start being implemented this very week. So, enjoy this site while it’s still around in this incarnation – it’ll soon become something different.
