There is nothing more frustrating as a customer that having to return an item to the store and ask either for a replacement or a refund. And the retailer is none too happy to have to deal with that, believe me.
This site is focused on online transactions that have to do with footwear. The premise is ensuring that the customer is buying the right size to begin with, and that he won’t have to return the pair of shoes he has bought because he got it wrong (something not that unlikely when buying items that you wear through the Internet). ShoeFitr works by recommending the correct size for the buyer. For example, if the customer is to buy a running shoe he is requested to specify the one he uses currently by picking the brand and the size.
Additionally, any order that is placed using this system comes with a full product description and a picture that changes according to the color the buyer chooses. As I said above, buying anything to be worn using the Internet is complicated. ShoeFitr does not turn the whole experience into something faultless, but it is certain to lower the number of transactions that leave people unsatisfied. The one question I have, now, is whether this system will be applied to other items and garments – I think there is untapped potential here.
ShoeFitr.com In Their Own Words
“Shoefitr is an application that online footwear retailers place on their checkout page to reduce returns.”
Why ShoeFitr.com It Might Be A Killer
Anything that brings customers nearer to buying the exact item they want and getting it right the fist time around is attractive both to them and to retailers.
