It doesn’t matter if you are a trendy fashion designer or a very industrious granny; it doesn’t even matter if you’ve never sown a button in your lifetime: as long as you want to find out about easy and complex projects to try at home, and buy the supplies to do it, SewThankful.com is the way to go.
An eCommerce site selling everything from pattern books and threads to fabric and fibers, everything you need to make your own purses or quilts is to be found right here. I found the site’s organization to be slightly confusing, in as much as all the products are equally highlighted on a grid in the homepage, and there is no option to enlarge the type size, which I reckon would be a very convenient feature taking into account that on broad demographic assumptions about that target audience, a large percentage of the company’s clients won’t be too comfortable reading 10 pt print; also, the fact that each link that one clicks opens up a new tab or window is definitely not my (or anyone’s) idea of comfortable browsing. The checkout process, though, is very simple, as it allows users to choose between different shipping and payment options from a dropdown menu, plus the site ships worldwide, a convenience most of its competitors don’t offer, and which put SewThankful.com in a good competing position.
