SearchMash is a newly launched search engine that´s got some interesting features to hold it apart from the rest of this already crowded market. The first thing you might notice when you use SearchMash is that you don´t have to erase your previous query in order to start a new one; just start typing and the old query is automatically erased.
Secondly, SearchMash allows you to hide details, so that you´ll just see the name of the web pages; also on the side panel you´ll find four drop down menus, one for blogs, one for images, one for videos and another for Wikipedia. Simply clicking on the wiki menu brings up a wiki entry in the same panel, while clicking on the video tab will pull up thumbnails of relevant videos. Clicking on picture thumbnails takes you directly to the hosting web page, however you can view videos directly on site . There´s also a section for feedback, to help make your searches better.
