Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 users in South Korea are experiencing a significant enhancement in their phone’s artificial intelligence functionality thanks to the over 2GB One UI 6.1 software update. This update aims to improve the overall user experience by introducing many new features and improvements. While users in the United States await the same update, the South Korean manufacturer has yet to confirm a global release date.
The expansive update focuses on individualizing the user experience with AI-driven services. It introduces innovative features such as AI-developed wallpapers and a Browsing Assist tool. Additionally, it offers more intuitive and personalized search results, enhanced security protocols, better battery optimization, and new modes for reading and gaming.
The update further improves communication with a Chat Assist feature that translates user messages in real time and a Quick Switch function that facilitates more straightforward navigation between different chat windows.
Enhancing Galaxy Z Fold 3’s AI with One UI 6.1
It also includes a Data Saver mode, reducing the data used when running apps.
Typing has been made easier with automatic spelling and grammar checks on the Samsung Keyboard and AI-powered photo editing features. The update also includes an enhanced dark mode for better viewing, more fluid animations, faster responses, and better synchronization with other Samsung devices.
Designed with productivity in mind, the update includes features to assist with note-taking in the Samsung Notes app and voice recording transcriptions in Samsung Voice Recorder. As a bonus, it also offers instant language translation for written and voice communication, easing communication across language barriers.
However, it should be noted that certain Galaxy S24 features are currently not available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Other Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 3, S22, S21, Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4, are also set to receive the latest UI 6.1 update. This software update is exclusive to South Korea, but a worldwide launch is expected soon.
