Sailsinc.org is the website of Sails Library Network Inc.
, a company which provides users with online library software. Its mission is to provide resource sharing, direct and equal access, and meet every patron’s needs, through cooperation, leadership, and technology. Is to that en that Sails is actually offering its ultimately released software: iBistro. The iBistro online catalog and circulation is a system that connects users with 73 libraries and branches throughout 40 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts. The company also offers PC support and consultation services, group purchasing, staff training, and web hosting. Through this site you can get information about the whole list of services, as well as library news and events related. There are many projects carried out by the member libraries, and you can request the virtual libraries’ catalog as well. One thing to have in mind is that Sails is a non-profit, private incorporation, funded by member libraries, Government & State grants, and private grants.
