Rollmio is a consumer generated network which uses a pay-per-video marketing model. It targets bloggers, videographers, directors, and publishers alike (Creators), asking them to create and submit videos for cash and prizes when the video is selected by a client.
Bloggers (aka Promoters) get paid by posting their Rollmio favorites on their site or blog. Videos can be made however creators wish, via cellphone, claymation, Super 8, digital cameras, whatever. Once made, clips can be uploaded on the ‘my page’ section of your account. Once reviewed, the clips will be available on Rollmio for Promoters to post on their blogs. If a client selects your clip you’ll get paid. So far they’ve only got one client—Pentel—but the service could become quite popular with is win-win proposition.
