Recipe Puppy is a recipe search engine that allows you to search for recipes by ingredient. The idea is not just to be able to search for recipes you can make, but to be able to find recipes you actually want to make.

Furthermore the search engine lets you combine the ingredient search with a keyword search. Queries like ‘salsa with onions and corn but without jalapenos’ are possible. With a premium account you can perform even more advanced searches to do things like exclude certain recipe websites, or limit the number of ingredients of the recipes returned.
Recipe Puppy grew out of the founders’ frustration with the existing ways to search for recipes. Google just isn’t built to perform ingredient searches, and other websites that tried to execute on this idea did not meet the users’ needs.
