ReadingOnline.org is the home for an online-only journal published by the International Reading Association (IRA); this peer-reviewed publication presents researches and books/websites recommendations which will be of great help for educators of people aged 5 to 18 concerned about literacy in a broad sense of the term (including not only print, but visual, media, internet and other media as well).
The full archive of the Reading Online Journal and selected related materials are available through this website, and can be read without having to register or provide any information. The site is super low-tech, and there is only two ways of navigating it: either one searches for a keyword, or browse the indexes, which can be a bit confusing as the research papers and theory articles can be easily confused with website reviews, not to mention that it would be really comfortable to be able to explore articles by topic they deal with, and not just the titles, which can be misleading or not too representative of the topics on discussion. This problem is in a way solved in as much as when you click into any article, you’ll get a suggestion box pointing to related articles in the archive.
