Trevor Kuna, the CEO of QNET, a global wellness and lifestyle direct-selling company, has dismissed allegations labelling the company as a scam. Kuna emphasized that QNET is dedicated to empowering communities by educating and training youth to provide them with employment opportunities and residual income. Speaking at a media briefing in Accra, Kuna highlighted that QNET has been in operation for 26 years, consistently serving communities worldwide.
He stressed that such longevity and commitment contradict any claims of fraudulent activities. We are here to defend our brand and empower our community. That is what we do,” Kuna stated.
“For 26 years, we have focused on empowering people, educating them, and providing them with opportunities to improve their lives.”
Kuna announced a partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority for this year’s V-Africa event in Ghana. The collaboration aims to promote tourism, entrepreneurship, and economic development in the region. Kuna outlined the range of products QNET offers, spanning various sectors including health supplements, skincare, watches, jewelry, online education, and home care products.
Victoria Ras Al-Taie, Global Head of Public Relations and Communications at QNET, called for stronger collaboration between the government and corporate entities to drive economic growth. She emphasized that such partnerships are essential in creating sustainable job opportunities and enhancing the well-being of communities. QNET’s model enables entrepreneurs to establish their own businesses with low start-up costs.
The direct selling industry continues to demonstrate remarkable strength and resilience worldwide, with QNET emerging through its commitment to transparency, ethical business practices, and entrepreneur empowerment, particularly in African markets. “Direct selling is a fantastic avenue for young entrepreneurs. With dedication, it’s possible to achieve significant income within 12 to 18 months,” Biram Fall, regional general manager for sub-Saharan Africa, stated during an interview.
QNET recognizes that education and inclusion are key to building a better future. Its FinGreen program promotes financial inclusion by equipping individuals, specifically youth and women, with the skills, habits, and attitudes needed to make informed financial decisions online and offline.
QNET strengthens community empowerment efforts
FinGreen is designed to empower individuals with financial knowledge and skills. Through training on budgeting, saving, investing, and entrepreneurship, we aim to bridge the gap between financial literacy and financial inclusion,” Fall explained. The establishment of QNET’s facility in Accra, Ghana, in 2022 marked another significant investment in regional development.
This facility provides comprehensive educational programs and workshops designed to enhance management skills and business literacy among independent representatives. “Our goal is to bring sustainable, positive change to the communities we operate in through our products, services, education, and community development programs — thus creating a more diverse, powerful, and inclusive economy for all,” Fall stated. QNET takes concrete actions to debunk scam allegations, including launching a compliance hotline on WhatsApp for sub-Saharan Africa, serving countries including Liberia, Cameroon, Mali, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.
The hotline provides support in English and French and enables direct reporting of policy violations and suspicious activities. The company’s collaboration with security and judicial agencies across the region has yielded results, including successful legal action against individuals misusing the QNET name. Additionally, the firm actively participates in direct selling associations in multiple countries.
QNET’s product portfolio spans multiple categories: health and wellness, home essentials, and personal care items. The Amezcua range exemplifies this commitment, featuring innovations like the Bio Light 3, Chi Pendant 4, and Bio Disc 3, developed alongside a scientific advisory council of renowned experts. The company launched two exceptional products: The HomePure Nova offers an enhanced version of the renowned 9-stage water filtration system, ensuring better hydration and added antioxidant benefits.
Accompanying this innovation is the Bernhard H. Mayer Omni watch collection, featuring Swiss luxury timepieces made from LEED-certified sustainable materials, uniting sophistication with eco-consciousness. Technology is a powerful tool for driving financial inclusion and e-commerce growth,” Fall said.
The company’s success stems from its focus on product sales rather than recruitment scams. This product-centric approach, combined with transparent operations and robust anti-fraud measures, establishes QNET’s position as a legitimate player in the direct selling industry, particularly in emerging markets where entrepreneurial opportunities are crucial for economic development.
