On paper, Path is the perfect application for those who are reluctant to posting their photos over social sites such as Facebook, but who still need to have them shared with more than a handful of friends.
That is where Path comes in. It is an iPhone app that makes for sharing images only with your 50 more trusted friends.
What you must understand is that this is a private application in the strict sense of the word. For example, no integration with Facebook and Twitter is provided. You are not allowed to tweet out links to your images, and there is no direct way for you make what you are sharing accessible to your Facebook contacts.
Personally, I find the app too passive for its own good. I mean, people are not even allowed to comment on the photos that you send them. All that they can do is watch them. If there is anything they want to say, they will have to ring you up or wait until you meet in person. That is not very social, is it? I suppose that is the idea, but I just have to wonder if the concept of keeping things private has not been pushed too far here.

The personal network.
Why Path.com It Might Be A Killer
It takes exclusivity to a whole new height. Whether that translates into a compelling application or not is a different story. But the app should be commended for going its own way.
