ParentProfiles.com is a database of couples’ profiles with one peculiarity: these people wish to adopt a kid who hasn’t born yet.
This site aims to put together pregnant women who want to give the child to adoption with parents who want to give the child a family. The lookup service is free for placing mothers, but has a monthly fee for couples, who are pre-screened by the site in order to check compliance with its criteria, among which is heterosexuality. The profiles generally include a letter to the birthmother where prospective parents speak about their ethic, moral and politic values and views, present pictures of their home, neighborhood and themselves, and in general any other information that can help birthmothers know and choose them to raise her child. Browsing the profiles is open to any person, as you don’t need to register to the site to do it.
