Original Signal is a multilingual news aggregator, collecting the latest headlines from the spheres of media, technology, sports, entertainment, and web 2.0.
There are two main displays. The homepage displays the best and most known blogs relating to the world wide web; featured blogs include Mashable, Techcrunch, ReadWriteWeb, and the Web 2.0 Show. There are also the single page aggregator pages which only list headlines for quick skimming. Tabs display your main categories at the top of the page. On the right hand side, you’ll find a selection of tools: stats display, share with friends, widget, mobile phone app, and RSS feed. All headlines are color coded too: pink for the latest headlines since your last visit, grey for articles already viewed, and blue for everything else.
OriginalSignal.com In Their Own Words
“Orginal Signal aggregates the 15 most popular games sites. The main purpose of the site is to provide a quick glance on what’s happening without using your desktop/web RSS reader. New headlines (since your last cookied visit) come in pretty orange, visited ones are grey. All credits go to the authors of these weblogs. Without their hard work Original Signal would not exist.”
