Orange Health Labs, a diagnostics service startup, has secured $12 million in a funding round led by Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund. Existing investors, including Accel, General Catalyst, Bertelsmann India Investments, and Y Combinator, also participated in the round. The startup has raised a total of $47 million to date.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product expansion, bolster the team, and drive innovation in diagnostics. Founded in December 2020 by former Practo executives Dhruv Gupta and Tarun Bhambra, Orange Health provides diagnostic lab services across major cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The company ensures sample collection within 60 minutes and delivers most test results within 6 hours, having conducted over a million tests to date.

Orange Health plans to go omnichannel and invest in building its retail presence, expanding from 8 collection centers to 30 by the year-end. The company also aims to broaden its test menu, triple its phlebotomist workforce within the next year, and establish a new test facility to meet Bengaluru’s growing demand. Gupta mentioned their recent expansion into ECG tests available at home or at collection centers, emphasizing their commitment to greater availability and convenience for customers.
Orange Health recently crossed Rs 100 crore in annual revenue run rate and has achieved profitability in Bengaluru, the city where it began operations.
