The New York Snowmobile Coordinating Group emerges in 1975 from a melting pot of diverse groups with common goals. The name was changes to the New York State Snowmobile Association in 1996.
Its mission is to seek to preserve and improve snowmobiling in New York State. It works toward improving trails, facilities and services for participants, and defends snowmobiles against discriminatory legislation. This association works to protect landowners, review and watchdog the NYS Trail Fund and is constantly seeking additional Trail funding programs. At the left hand side of the homepage you will find some categories that provide more information about this association. These categories are Administration, Annual Meeting, Business Directory, Charities of Choice, Club Items, Downloads, Event Calendar, Membership, Message Board, Press releases, and many more. NYSSA continually works to improve communications in every aspect of snowmobiling. It coordinates and provides leadership for New York State Snowmobile Clubs and Organizations in developing and implementing policies, strategies, and action plans which foster the growth of safe snowmobile.
